OpenTrack Insights is divided into key sections, each providing valuable insights into the movement of your containers.
Overview:
The overview page is a quick snapshot to give you container information quickly and succinctly. See everything important regarding your containers all in one spot. Get incidents flagged and quickly review where all your containers are in their journey.
Plan:
The Planning tab is focused on the future. Gain insights into terminals experiencing unusual congestion levels and anticipate your expected container volumes per destination. This knowledge allows you to strategically allocate resources for operational efficiency.
Monitor:
The Monitor tab concentrates on the present. This section is dedicated to focusing on the present, allowing you to gain a comprehensive understanding of your container status, dwell time, and actively view any holds for streamlined efficiency.
Measure:
The measure tab uses your historical tracking data to provide an in-depth understanding of your container performance. Identify inefficiencies, analyze past shipments, and set expectations for future deliveries.
Overview
The overview page gives you a snapshot of all your container info in one spot.
Incidents Summary: Important incidents including active holds, demurrage, and containers in dwell are all displayed at the top of the page.
Where My Shipments Are Now: This section will show all your active containers, allowing you to see at what stage of the shipment journey your containers are.
Upcoming Volume Overview: See at a glance where and when your next shipments are coming in.
Plan
High-Level View: The default chart displays upcoming volume per day over a 4 or 8-week time range, offering a comprehensive overview of when your containers are expected to arrive at their final destinations.
βDeep Dive: Drill down into arriving volume on any given day, categorizing containers by Steamship Line, Destination Terminal, Customer, or Trucking Carrier. Obtain detailed information on upcoming containers for a specific day, especially during volume spikes.
Filters: Use familiar filters to obtain specific snapshots of upcoming volume charts by Customer, Destination Terminal, Drayage Carrier, Final Destination, and Port of Discharge. This is an excellent way to view the data, especially when trying to ascertain the volume expected at a particular terminal or for a specific stakeholder.

Map Overview: See the dwell time across different North American ports and view any increases in terminal dwell time. Heated areas show terminals with higher than average dwell times.
Click on each terminal to see how the average terminal dwell time for the last 7 days compares to the average terminal dwell time for the last 30 days.
Monitor
High-Level View: Observe live container dwell times at the terminal, rail, or street. The bar indicates the average dwell time, while points show the highest single value.
βDeep dive: Analyze dwelling containers by various parameters such as destination, destination terminal, steamship line, trucking carrier, or customer. Click on corresponding bars to view a list of offending containers for further analysis.
βFilters: Use filters to analyze results in more detail by entering values of interest for Customer, Destination Terminal, Drayage Carrier, Final Destination, or Port of Discharge.
Get an overview of active holds on your containers. Filter and select specific containers for a comprehensive overview.
Measure
View historical average dwell time and highest dwell time for the terminal, rail, or destination. Analyze efficiency by examining shipping data for your past containers.
The Transit Time chart shows the average transit time for all your the ocean lanes and rail routes. Each bar will show how many containers you have shipped on the lane and the average number of days.
Dive deeper into each lane or rail line to see the average days container shipment takes by provider.
The Complete Transit Time chart gives you the average number of days a container takes to complete its ocean leg, rail dwell (at ocean terminal), and rail transit. This chart will help give you a complete picture of what your total container transit time looks like.
The chart will show you the time for each leg of the transit to allow you to better understand the container journey.
