In this article, we share how the filter Current Milestone Date can help you create a super actionable view of your containers that answers some very common questions.

Questions like:

  • Which containers hit Full Outgated status in the past 24 hours?

  • Which containers hit Empty Returned status in the past week?

  • Which containers hit _____ status in the past ____ (day, week, month)?

Using the Current Milestone Date filter, you can create a report in OpenTrack that shows you an always-updated list of your target containers. Here's how.

Step 1: Current Milestone Date

First, go to Explore and click the Filter button.

Then select the filter Current Milestone Date.

Now select a time period: For example, let's select Past week.

Now you're seeing only containers that hit their current milestone in the past week. Pretty cool right?

Hold on. What if you want to see only containers that hit Full Outgated in the past week? For that, we'll filter down even further using the Status filter.

Step 2: Status

In the same Explore page, click the Filter button again. This time, click + Add Filter. This will add a new filter.

Select the Status filter from the list.

Now select whichever milestone you want to target. In our example, let's select Full Outgated.

Now you're seeing only containers that hit Full Outgated in the past week.

There you have it. Now you know how to combine the Current Milestone Date filter with the Status filter to target only containers that hit a certain status within a certain timeframe.
