Lets say you've just tracked a container and are looking to find the Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA). The ETA for any container is available in the container detail view. You can view this information in two ways:
Start Tracking Page: After you track a Master Bill of Lading from the Start Tracking page, you can expand each row to reveal more information. Within this row, you'll see the container(s) that OpenTrack has found with this Master Bill. You can click on the container number which will reveal a detail view on the right side of the screen.
Explore Page: You can also search for any tracked containers from the Explore page by using the search bar or the Filter button. You can click on the container number from the list to reveal the detail view.
Once you've expanded the detail view, you'll see a summary of information regarding this container in addition to holds and history of events. In the summary tab, you should see ETA values if OpenTrack is reporting an ETA:
Ocean: The ETA reported under the "Ocean" section is the ETA to the final ocean port of discharge.
Rail: The ETA reported under the "Rail" section is the ETA to the final inland rail facility.
⚠️ Please note that if you don't see any value, whether ETA or anything else, OpenTrack has yet to find this information.
Remember that you'll get the best performance and data quality if you track each container before arrival to the final port of discharge, and ideally at origin. OpenTrack is not a historical service and cannot report high quality data of past events if the container was added late in its journey.
