Demurrage Risk Methodology
OpenTrack flags containers at risk of demurrage using two key criteria:
If a container hasn’t been picked up and is past its Last Free Day (LFD);
or, if no LFD is available, when it’s dwelling longer than 80% of containers at that terminal.
This approach leverages both precise milestone data and historical terminal performance benchmarks, helping your team focus on containers most likely to incur fees and prioritize interventions accordingly.
